Donald Trump Set To Sign Executive Order That Will Open Crypto To 401(k) Investors, Bloomberg Says

President Donald Trump plans to sign an executive order that will allow for American 401(k)s to invest in crypto, real estate and private equity. According to a Bloomberg report that cited sources familiar with the matter, the executive order will direct the Labor Department to clear a path for 401(k)s to invest in those alternative assets. Workers aged 60-63 will have the ability to contribute up to $34,750 in 401(k) catch-up amounts starting in 2025 for their retirement plans. Through the Secure 2.0 legislation workers can now enhance their saving capacity just before they retire from their jobs.
